Graduate program salary and super
Our graduate program offers a starting salary package of over $77,000 ($67,577 plus 15.4% super).
Upon successful completion of the program, you will advance to a minimum of an APS 4, which has a total remuneration package of over $86,000 ($75,279, plus 15.4% super). You can earn up to $91,539 ($79,323 plus 15.4% super) as an APS 4 officer within the ATO.

On successful completion of our graduate program, you'll:
- gain a permanent APS 4 level role that is relevant to your stream
- receive a salary package of over $86,000 (including super)
- potential to earn a package over $91,000 (including super) as an APS 4 officer
- continue to receive a wide range of employee benefits, including flexible working hours, 4 weeks of annual leave and annual salary advancement
- be able to explore further study and qualifications.
Start the graduate program early
If you are applying for the IT or taxation streams you can choose to start in our mid-year intake, as early as August 2023.
To be eligible for the mid-year intake, you must:
- be applying for the IT or taxation streams
- have completed your degree by 30 June 2023.
If you would like us to consider you for the mid-year intake, tick the box on your application form. Ticking the box allows us to consider you for both the mid-year intake and the program that commences in February 2024.
