    Lodging your application

The first stage of the application process is completed online. You will need to provide:

    • personal information
    • resume (as an attachment – maximum 3MB)
    • referees.

We recommend you have this information ready when you start your application.

Once you have lodged your application, you will receive an email confirmation.

    Reviewing your application

Your electronic application will be assessed on:

    • the answers you provide to the application questions
    • your eligibility for the program.

Once your application has been assessed, you'll receive an email advising you if you have met the requirements to move to the next stage of the recruitment process.

    Assessment activities

If you progress to the next round, you'll need to do a mix of assessment activities. These may include activities such as:

    • an online cognitive ability assessment
    • a computer skills assessment
    • an online activity designed to assess the skills, behaviours and competencies that lead to good job performance
    • a face-to-face interview with a panel of ATO staff.

    Preliminary decision

At this point, your performance from all assessment stages of the process will be reviewed and your suitability determined.

    Final checks and offer

We'll conduct a number of pre-employment checks. Any offer of employment will be subject to the results of the enquiries being satisfactory.

If everything is okay, you'll then be able accept the formal offer and start your career with us in early 2017.
