  • Take care of yourself and your staff, contact us early in times of difficulty

We recognise that running a business can be stressful. Long hours, cash flow pressures, endless paperwork and staff issues can take its toll, so we want to make managing tax and super as easy as possible for businesses and individual Australians.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed and getting behind with your businesses tax and super obligations, let us know as early as possible so we can work with you to find a solution before the situation escalates.

If your business has staff or clients who are struggling to meet their tax commitments, you can let them know they may be able to claim serious hardship status. It’s never too late to ask for help. They'll qualify if they're unable to provide necessities such as:

    • food
    • accommodation
    • clothing
    • education
    • medical treatment

This might occur in circumstances where your client or staff member has lost employment, housing, or if they've received official notices such as mortgaged property repossession. In these cases, we may be able to fast track tax refunds or defer their lodgments. We can also prevent their tax refund from being used to pay debts with other government organisations.

For more advice and guidance on tax and superannuation issues, individuals can call us on 13 28 61 and businesses can call us on 13 28 66. For free financial counselling services, contact The National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007.
