  • Check your TPAR obligations

In the past year, many businesses have contracted out more services due to COVID-19, and may now need to lodge a Taxable payments annual report (TPAR) for the first time. TPARs were due on 28 August.

You may need to lodge a TPAR, if you have paid contractors to provide the following services on your behalf:

    • building and construction
    • cleaning
    • courier
    • road freight
    • information technology
    • security, investigation or surveillance.

If you need to lodge a TPAR but missed the 28 August due date, you can lodge it now using Online services for business. If you previously lodged using file transfer or via SBR-enabled software, you can continue to lodge this way.

If you lodged but made a mistake, you can amend a lodged TPAR.

Keeping good records makes it easier for you to prepare your TPAR. You'll find the details you need on contractor invoices.

Remember, registered tax agents can help you with your tax.
