Energy grants credits scheme – alternative fuels
The energy grants credits scheme has closed. The fuel grant rate reduced to zero on 1 July 2010. You cannot claim a grant for fuels purchased on or after that date.
This scheme provided a fuel grant for businesses that purchased alternative fuels used for road transport before 1 July 2010. Alternative fuels include liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG), ethanol and biodiesel.
You may be able to claim the fuel grant for alternative fuels:
- you purchased before 1 July 2010
- in a BAS period that ended before 1 July 2013.
