  • How to access the SBSCH in the Business Portal

    This guide is for small businesses that need to access the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) in the Business Portal.

    Accessing the SBSCH in the Business Portal

    Step 1: Get a secure online credential

    To access the Business Portal you will need a secure online credential, either:

    From 1 April 2020 myGovID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) will replace AUSkey and Manage ABN Connections.

    To prepare for the change, ensure your ABN details are up-to-date in the Australian Business RegisterExternal Link (ABR).

    Step 2: Log in to the Business Portal

    Log in to the Business Portal using your secure online credential. You can either:

    Step 3: Access the SBSCH

    The SBSCH is located in the Manage Employees menu of the Business Portal. This can be found on the left hand side menu.

    A new page displays that includes the link to the SBSCH. Click on this link to enter the SBSCH.

    If you are unable to see the SBSCH in the Business Portal, you may need to check your settings under the Access Manager menu item.

    Setting permissions for staff

    Access Manager allows you to manage staff member access to your business tax and super information. Once you're logged into the Business Portal:

    1. Click on the Access manager menu item.
    2. Use your secure online credential to log in to Access Manager.
    3. Under Access and permissions, select the name of the person you want to assign permissions for.
    4. Under the ATO Transactions section, next to Small Business Super Clearing House, make a selection to Lodge or View. Select Save.
