    'I have been using the clearing house for the last 9 months, I remember that someone advised me that the service was available online so I searched and found it through the ATO website. I used to use cheques before going online which were very time consuming, I feel that the clearing house is easy to use, and I’m not all that computer literate.

    I make quarterly super contributions to three employees, two full timers and one part timer. Although I haven’t got a large workforce I still found the clearing house good as it’s all in one spot – once you put the employees in, it’s ‘click, click’ and that’s it. What used to take over 30 minutes to complete a quarter, now only takes ten.

    I had some confusion with a super number that needed to be included so I rang the help number and the problem was rectified very quickly. I would recommend that any business should give the clearing house a go'.

    'My daughter does the business accounts using the clearing house for the last couple of years. We choose it because it was simple to operate – one spot and one payment. We train around 160 small business start-ups each year as clients and feel that the use of the clearing house makes good business practice as part of their super obligations.

    'I started using the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House over three years ago for my wife and myself. I was initially doing work related to the ATO Standard Business Reporting implementation and received correspondence that highlighted the clearing house as part of the ATO online mailing list. This came through at just the right time for me and I feel that it was promoted very effectively.

    'I’m a registered BAS agent and bookkeeper who has been using the clearing house for around 3 years, before the introduction of SuperStream. Using the clearing house streamlines my payment times for lodgments where individual payments are made easy. The clearing house is much better than other similar services, it’s very user friendly.

    I have at least 10 clients that range from 2 to 20 employees and make payments to around 8 different funds. Time saved depends on whether I’m processing 2 or 20 payrolls; I save half the time easily on the smaller items and way more on bigger ones. It’s hard to define the specific time saving, but the bigger the payroll, the more time you save.

    The clearing house is really simple to use and very easy to register as well as adding new employees. This comes in very handy when I am given the wrong TFN or other details from clients. I get you guys on the phone and it’s really simple to fix. You give me more than enough time to source the correct information and fix any issues. This service certainly takes the fear out of dealing with the ATO. In the event of a problem I would advise businesses to contact the ATO first in order to get a good outcome.

    For me the best feature of the clearing house is that it’s user friendly, I find that really important. Once set up, it’s really easy to use and I would definitely recommend it to others.     'I’m a registered BAS agent and have been using the SBSCH for the last 3 years. I found out about the clearing house from another bookkeeper through my networks. Previously, I manually completed super payments for most of my clients or logged in via multiple websites which involved a lot of paperwork.

    I have 25 clients who range from a single employee to 95, with an average of 12 employees going to 8 funds. I tell my clients that the clearing house is easy to use and I show them how to use it. I explain that if they familiarize themselves with the processes, it’s easy and simple and they can do it. Smaller businesses need super to be easy.

    Some of my clients have multiple contribution types with additional employee contributions. The clearing house has made inputting the data very easy with multiple columns. A complicated lodgment that used to take me up to 3 hours now can be done in under 15 minutes, it’s a great saving.

    One of the best features of the clearing house is that once you’ve got it set up, it’s one single payment. I think anyone not using it would be crazy; it’s a great product for small business'.
