    How to work out your capital gain or capital loss in part A explains how to calculate a capital gain using one of the three methods:

    • indexation
    • discount
    • 'other'.

    Trust distributions in part A explains how to calculate your capital gain if a managed fund or trust has distributed a capital gain to you. You must take into account capital gains included in trust distributions in working out your net capital gain or capital loss.
