Section B: People involved in the management of the business
This section asks you to identify all people who participate in the management or control of the business. These are people responsible for the daily decision making or maintenance of records in relation to:
- quantity and type of tobacco products manufactured
- storage of the tobacco products
- sale or disposal of the tobacco products
- the movement of the tobacco products such as deliveries, receipt and dispatch.
If you are applying on behalf of a company (that is, the applicant is a company), you need to include all directors or officers who participate in the management or control of the company.
Personal background checks are necessary to help us determine your eligibility for a licence. You, and all other people nominated in this section, need to complete a Declaration of criminal history particulars (NAT 74815) form.
Some may also need to complete a Consent to criminal history record check (NAT 16358) form and provide the necessary identification documents. We will advise you if we require a criminal history check.
We must also consider your associates before granting a licence. To do this we may need to do background checks on the people and entities you are associated with (within the meaning of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997) that have influence in your business.
