  • Tax Profession Future State Group

The Tax Profession Future State Group is focused on understanding the changes that ATO and the tax profession need to make to operate successfully in the changing tax and superannuation systems.

The group is looking at the changing landscape from a broader perspective, considering the business models of the future and anticipating the expectations of the community. In particular, the group aims to:

    • consider matters that will have the most impact on the future of the tax profession as determined by the group.
    • consider the strategic opportunities to support the tax profession for the future.
    • engage with relevant senior ATO officers on matters where the ATO is able to provide support to the tax profession.

This group replaces the former Future of the Tax Professional, 2020 Working Group

The ATO consultation protocol underpins our consultation framework arrangements.
