  • Tax Profession Future State Group key messages

The Tax Profession Future State Group meets four times a year and is co-chaired by an ATO Assistant Commissioner from Intermediaries and Lodgment and a professional association representative, currently from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

The group is focused on understanding the changes the ATO and the tax profession need to make to operate successfully in the changing tax and superannuation environment.

The main aim of the group is to reach a level of consensus on what the future of the tax profession will look like and work to ensure that tax professionals and the ATO have the capabilities, skills and systems to be well prepared for that future.

The key messages summarise the highlights from each meeting.
