Strategic direction, implementation and governance
The Commissioner reports annually on the Dispute Management Plan (DMP), including that it has been reviewed and is being followed within the organisation.
The ATO Executive sets the overall Disputes Management Strategy for the ATO.
Second Commissioners Corporate Services and Law, and Compliance, and the Chief Operations Officer manage the implementation and governance of the ATO Disputes Policy and DMP across their sub plans.
The First Assistant Commissioner, Law and Practice is responsible for the overall development, implementation, evaluation and review of the ATO Disputes Policy and DMP.
ATO employees and our legal service providers manage individual disputes in accordance with the ATO Disputes Policy and DMP.
ATO employees, business line managers and ATO people manage internal workplace conflict in accordance with the ATO Disputes Policy, DMP and relevant corporate policies.
