    Once you provide us with the necessary information and your request is approved, your return will be processed as a priority. We will contact you if we require further information.

    Additional time may be required to process your return in circumstances if:

    • you are a customer of another government department, including Services Australia (Centrelink or Child Support)
    • you lodge income tax returns for multiple years at the same time
    • your income tax return was lodged before the end of the income year
    • your income tax return is subject to an audit or investigation.
