  • Try a new way to access government online services

The Australian Government have released new digital services to transform the way Australians interact with government. These services are:

    • myGovIDExternal Link – an authentication service that allows you to prove who you are online. myGovID is different to your myGov account, which lets you select and link to government online services from the one place.
    • Relationship Authorisation ManagerExternal Link (RAM) – an authorisation service that allows you to link your myGovID to an Australian business number (ABN) and manage who can act on behalf of your business/entity online.

Currently, you can use these new services with our Business Portal and Access Manager.

    Replacing AUSkey

From March 2020, myGovID and RAM will replace AUSkey and Manage ABN Connections (your ABN connected to your myGov account) providing secure, simple and flexible access to government online services.

AUSkey will continue to be supported while you move to myGovID and RAM.

    • eligible individual associate listed on an ABN in the Australian Business Register (ABR)
      • a director or public officer of a company
      • a partner of a partnership
      • a trustee of a trust
      • an office bearer of a club or association.

In the future, businesses with non-individual associates, such as trustee companies, will also use RAM.

You’ll use your myGovID to log in to RAMExternal Link.

    Next steps:

    Accept an authorisation in RAM

You'll need a myGovID to log in to RAM and accept an authorisation to act on behalf of a business online.
