Be wary of emails, phone calls and text messages claiming to be from the ATO.

ATO impersonation scams occur when someone – or a criminal syndicate – pretends to be from the ATO in an attempt to get money from clients.

Our monthly ATO impersonation scam intelligence report provides a snapshot of scam intelligence we received from members of the public. This intelligence helps shape our community scam education and awareness strategies.

The data contained in these reports is based on information provided by the public and is correct at the date of publishing.
