2016 Pre-fill availability
You can use the following information to check if data is available to be pre-filled in your tax return from government agencies, private health funds, financial institutions and companies.
How to check if your data is available
When you use pre-fill, information is downloaded straight to your online return using current-year information from organisations reporting to us, such as employers, banks, and other government agencies.
How to use pre-fill information
All you have to do is review the pre-filled information and add any missing details.
Do not rely solely on pre-filled information. The information that is pre-filled to your return may be incomplete if:
- an organisation has not supplied data yet
- we could not match the information to your record
- the information did not pass all data quality checks.
When is pre-fill information available?
Pre-filling information is usually available for you to download into your return a couple of days after we receive it from the reporting organisations.
Most information is normally available by early August.
Before you lodge online, follow the links below to see whether data is available from the following organisations:
These tables do not include information from employers. Before you finalise your return, check to make sure income from your employer and all other sources is included.
