  • Don't lose access, renew your RAM authorisation

    9 February 2021

You may use myGovID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM) to access our online services for your business.

If your authorisation type displays in RAM as an indirect associate, responsible authority or Basic user, your authorisation is valid for up to 12 months.

You can check the end date of your authorisation in RAM.

If your authorisation type is indirect associate or responsible authority:

    • You can renew your authorisation from 40 days before expiry. You'll receive reminder emails and a notification in RAM to remind you. Your renewal doesn’t affect authorisations you’ve set up for others. They can continue to access our online services on behalf of the business.

If your authorisation type is Basic user:

    • Your principal authority or authorisation administrator needs to renew your authorisation in RAM. They'll receive a reminder email 30 days before the authorisation is due to expire. You'll also receive an email letting you know your authorisation is about to expire.

If an authorisation expires and is still required, it needs to be set up again.

For an indirect associate or responsible authority this means contacting the RAM support line to link to the business again as a primary person.

For a Basic user, this means your principal authority or authorisation administrator will need to create a new authorisation for you in RAM. You'll need to complete proof of identity requirements again.
