    Whether you're new to business or run an existing business, we know that being organised and keeping good records is essential for success. Good records will also give you the information you need to claim deductions in your return this tax time.

    To steer you in the right direction and keep you on track, we have a number of resources, tools and services that will help you maintain good records, manage your cash flow and save time. Specifically:

    • information about the records you need to keep
    • key tax and super dates as well as a range of useful tools and calculators that you can access at any time through the ATO app
    • use the myDeductions tool for sole traders in the ATO app to record and store income, expenses and car trips
    • educational webinars and workshops on record keeping and budgeting
    • personalised assistance in setting up a record keeping system.
