    Fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated so it is important you take steps to protect the data of your employees, clients and business.

    One step we are taking to help is introducing mandatory multi-factor authentication for some cloud accounting software users by the end of this year.

    Multi-factor authentication, sometimes called two-factor authentication, adds extra security to prevent unauthorised access to your systems. It asks you to provide multiple pieces of information to authenticate yourself, for example, a text message to your phone when logging into a website.

    If your software provider has advised this will become mandatory for you, we recommend you start using it as soon as possible.
