  • Updates to the Small Business Super Clearing House

    8 January 2019

We’ve listened to feedback from users of the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) about how we communicate changes.

If you've logged onto the SBSCH system since 27 October, you would have seen a notification message letting you know the SBSCH terms and conditions have recently been updated.

They were updated to provide you with a better understanding of:

    • when your payment is 'accepted' by the SBSCH for your superannuation guarantee contributions
    • what happens when a fund doesn't accept a payment (due to missing or incorrect payment instruction details)
    • when superannuation guarantee charge applies.

We recommended you take the time to review these and make sure you still agree with the terms and conditions.

Update: SBSCH processing over the Christmas - New Year period

We previously told you that there would be no processing of SBSCH payments between 21 December 2018 and 1 January 2019 (inclusive) due to our annual Christmas shut down. Unfortunately, processing stopped earlier on 14 December 2018.

Any payment instructions sent through to us between 14 and 21 December will still be processed. We apologise for any confusion.
