    LMR Provision of Address (POA) process

    The ATO normally runs the lost member register ‘provision of address’ process on a bi-annual basis to help funds contact their lost members and reunite them with their super.

    This service provides updated address and contact details including email addresses, mobile phone numbers and date of death information for lost members reported by funds. Historically we provide updated data once fund reporting obligations are finalised in April and October.

    This year’s process

    Due to the full LMR re-report conducted in May 2016, this year’s process will be delayed until December 2016, ensuring that only the most current details from individual tax returns and lost member statements due 31 October 2016 are provided.

    For funds concerned about the delay, data from the previous process is still available. However, we encourage funds to wait until December to incorporate October 2016 LMS lodgements. We will provide further details to funds once we are in a position to commence uploading the LMR POA data.
