    3rd February 2017

    Update: Unplanned system outage

ATO and HPE technicians have worked through the night to restore our systems and online services. While there has been significant progress on their restoration plan, the process is highly complex.

Our immediate focus is on restoring priority services – superannuation online services via ato.gov.au including ATO online service connected to myGov and Departing Australia Superannuation Payments (DASP), superannuation enabling services including SuperTICK and Fund Validation Service (FVS), the Tax Agent, Business and BAS Portals, ATO online, and the Australian Business Register (ABR). Our website www.ato.gov.au is working intermittently.

When further work on the restoration has been completed we will provide another update about when we expect normal services to resume.

Once restored, service performance may vary as we continue the restoration process.

We would like to reiterate that no data has been lost, and our systems have not been compromised.

We will provide another update later today, including an update about our planned outage schedule for the weekend.
