    Update: Unplanned system outage

    ATO systems are coming back online and priority services are now becoming available.

    Service update

    All funds and software developers should now have access to SuperTICK versions 1, 2 and 3 and SuperMatch2. You should contact your ATO account manager if you are still unable to access these services or are experiencing problems with service operation.

    Fund Validation Services (FVS) are available, with the latest version of the FVS file dated Thursday 2 February 2017. We are working to generate an updated FVS file this afternoon, which will be available for collection once complete. Normal file generation will recommence overnight and be ready for collection from tomorrow morning.

    Electronic Commerce Interface (ECI) is able to accept incoming files but is not processing them. You can continue to use this channel and data messages will be backlogged and processed once the service becomes fully available. ECI is currently unable to send messages out.

    Bulk Data Exchange (BDE) was available through the business portals earlier today but has gone offline this afternoon. Direct access to BDE is not possible at this time, including via the Data Transfer Facility (DTF), which is offline. The SuperMatch1 service, which uses BDE, is also unavailable at this time.

    Electronic Portability Forms (EPF) are being received and queued in our systems. Once our SBR platform is stable enough we will send EPFs to funds. We will provide further advice on timeframes for EPF processing as soon as this is available.

    The Departing Australia Superannuation Payment (DASP) online application system is unavailable for both individuals and funds. Unfortunately we don’t have a timeframe for the resumption of this service, but we will provide an update as soon as possible.

    Monthly remittance and recovery schedule

    Low Income Superannuation Contribution (LISC) recovery and First Home Saver Account (FHSA) remittance advice will be processed this week as part of our monthly superannuation remittance and recovery processing schedule. Co-contributions remittance and super guarantee recovery notice and remittance advice (ICP) will be processed next week. Any backlogs of unclaimed superannuation money (USM) payments will be processed in

    the next scheduled USM remittance run in the week beginning 20 February. Details and dates for the month ahead, as well as information about section 20C notices, will be included in our Super Communique newsletter edition later today.

    Trustee obligations

    We have informed APRA about this recent outage and its impact on trustees. APRA has today communicated with trustees to confirm that its position in relation to this current outage and its impact on trustees is identical to that communicated in a letter to RSE licenseesExternal Link in relation to the ATO outage in December 2016.
