Changes for CRT Alerts and Super Communique

In response to your feedback we have reviewed our communication products and are making some gradual improvements to provide a more streamlined service. As a first step, we are moving our distribution and database management to a more efficient and automated system.

You will notice a change in the look of both of our CRT Alerts and Super Communique products, but their purposes will remain the same – CRT Alerts for urgent updates and notifications and Super Communique for regular monthly administrative news.

In addition to the new look, our newsletters will now be easier to read on a range of devices. Over time, we will also be able to tailor our news services to your preferences.

Previously if you subscribed to one product you were automatically subscribed to the other. However, we are separating our subscription lists so you have the option of being subscribed to one or both products.

Our service provider, Campaign Monitor, will host the mailing list in the cloud. This means your data, including your name, email address, and subscription preferences, may be stored outside of Australia.

    Email alert privacy details:

    • We will only use your email address and associated information for the purpose for which you have given it or any other purpose permitted under our privacy policy.
    • Where you have agreed to a company located overseas holding your email address and associated information then we will not be responsible if the company handles your information in breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and you will not be able to seek redress under the Privacy Act 1988.

    What you need to do

You don’t need to do anything to be transferred to the new CRT Alert and Super Communique products. We will automatically transfer you to the new CRT Alert and Super Communique service using the email address you have already provided to us, unless you opt out now.

If you do not want your email address transferred to the new subscriber list you should contact us to ‘opt out’ now.
