    Practical compliance guideline – TRIS

We’ve published a practical compliance guideline (PCG) in response to issues some funds had implementing a full solution to deal with the Transition to Retirement Income Streams (TRIS) changes in time for the start of the 2017–18 income period. Through extensive consultation with industry, we agreed on the principles and approach contained in this PCG to help funds implement the changes and comply with their tax obligations during the interim period.

We consulted with the Financial Services Council (FSC), Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA) and large APRA-regulated funds new measures consultation group to develop this guideline.
