MAAS Foundation Data Handbook now available

    12 February 2018

The Member Account Attribute Service (MAAS) Foundation Data Handbook is now available to guide you through your MAAS foundation data reporting requirements.

There is a foundation data FAQ sheet in the handbook to answer common questions about what you will need to report.

Why is foundation data important for MAAS?

MAAS is the new service that will be used to report changes to a member's attributes when they occur.

Where there are no changes there is no requirement to report. This means that for some members their attributes may not be reported for some time. Therefore it is important that the initial 'foundation' data that populates MAAS is accurate and complete.

    What you need to do

You must report foundation data and can do so from 1 April 2018 as part of your MAAS implementation and onboarding process.

CRT Alert 086/2017, issued on 21 December 2017, included initial details of our foundation data strategy. You should read the Foundation Data Handbook to see the full details of this approach.

Once you've reported foundation data through MAAS you'll only need to report changes to member attributes from then on.

You can find information about MAAS readiness and implementation on the SuperStream Readiness and Implementation Let's Talk page.
