Update 2 – Clearing house CTR issues

We have encountered an issue in which contribution transaction request (CTR) messages have not reached some gateway service addresses.

We have fixed this issue in our systems today and will resend failed messages in our processing run tonight.

You should receive these messages through your gateway tonight along with any new messages that came through the Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) today.

The issue causing CTR messages that include a withholder payer number (WPN) to fail validation has also been fixed.

    Dealing with employer enquiries

We have published an SBSCH system status web page with information for employers about this issue.

If you receive enquiries from employers you can direct them to this page, which confirms that as long as they have paid and submitted valid information they have met their employer superannuation guarantee obligations under the Superannuation Guarantee Administration Act 1992. However, employers should consider what, if any, super obligations they have under workplace agreements and/or with their default fund.

    Next update

We will confirm the success of today's fix and tonight's processing run in a CRT Alert before 5pm AEDT tomorrow.

We thank you for your patience.
