Small Business Superannuation Clearing House legacy system to be decommissioned

The legacy Small Business Superannuation Clearing House (SBSCH) system hosted by the Department of Human Services (DHS) will be decommissioned on 22 May 2018. The associated legacy bank account will also be closed. Any attempted payments or SuperStream messages to the legacy system will be automatically rejected.

Since the clearing house joined ATO online services on 26 February 2018, the DHS legacy system has remained operational for the purpose of receiving contribution transaction error response (CTER) messages for payments originally made through the legacy system. Contributions paid through the legacy system that could not be allocated to a member account were refunded to the legacy bank account. The ATO has now actioned all refunds received by the legacy system.

If you need to return payments made through the legacy system on or after 22 May 2018 please email sbschenquiries@ato.gov.au.
