    New way for employees to complete onboarding forms

    Employees are now able to access onboarding forms through ATO Online in myGov when they start a new job. Once complete, employees need to print and submit the form to their employer. This includes the Tax file number declaration and the Superannuation standard choice form.

    We are targeting a small group of employers to trial the forms, and will not be actively marketing their availability. These employers were identified as using a high number of paper forms to onboard their employees.

    To complete the forms, employees will need information from their employer including their Australian Business Number (ABN) and default super fund information (including name, unique superannuation identifier and ABN). This information will pre-fill part of the form. This will make it quicker for employees to complete and improve the accuracy of the information submitted to their employer.

    All employees can access the new service through their myGov account, but will be directed to their employer in the first instance to get the necessary information to complete the form.
