  • Updated consultation arrangements

Recently we reviewed our consultation arrangements and will be implementing a new framework from 1 July 2019. The changes reflect the closure of the SuperStream project, and the integration of both superannuation and employer obligation functions within the ATO.

We have taken a revised approach for new co-design groups, in particular reducing the membership numbers to make the group more agile and practical. At the same time we will expand the opportunity for industry to offer feedback on the various change projects that we are progressing via the broader super consultation group which will be rebranded to the Super and Employment Change Network (SECN).

The SECN is a forum for any member of the superannuation industry to come along, hear updates and provide feedback on a variety of super change related topics.

    Next steps:

    • If you were a member of the broader super consultation group, you will be automatically added to the SECN distribution list.
    • If you are not currently a member of the broader super measures consultation group and would like to be included on the SECN distribution list, email Super&EmploymentConsultation
    • There is a current expression of interest process for those interested in applying for membership positions on some of our operational working groups – read our recent Super News article for more information Expressions of interest for APRA Fund consultation groups.
