    Capped defined benefit income streams

    This webinar will outline the details of a capped defined benefit income stream and discuss how they are valued for transfer balance purposes. The webinar will look at the taxation consequences of exceeding the transfer balance cap, the implications of having more than one income stream or a capped defined income stream and other pensions and annuities. It will also discuss what the fund will need to report and the action you will need to take.

    This webinar will provide an in-depth look into the transfer balance cap and discuss any emerging questions and issues. It will discuss in more detail how to comply with a commutation authority, the calculation of debit and credits, death benefits and the transition to retirement income stream (TRIS) changes in relation to the transfer balance cap.
