  • Nominations for SuperStream Reference Group membership

The ATO is calling for nominations from interested stakeholders across the superannuation industry to become a member of the SuperStream Reference Group (SSRG).

The purpose of the SSRG is to discuss issues raised which impact on the implementation of the SuperStream reforms with a core focus on industry readiness for the superannuation data and payment standard.

The group was formed in March 2014 and has provided leadership during the successful implementation of SuperStream for contributions by APRA funds and the first phase of employer onboarding.

With much of the foundation implementation of SuperStream completed it is appropriate to refresh the membership and progressively shift the focus of the group to driving further operational efficiencies, benefits realisation and managing future change.

    About the nomination process

Nominations are open to all interested stakeholders, including current SSRG members and, where possible, should be senior executives.

A 12 member committee will be appointed for a 12 month period and will meet monthly from November.

Members are expected to have a high level of personal and professional integrity, work together in a collegiate manner and bring a broad perspective to issues.

The final membership will be representative of stakeholders across the superannuation industry and all members will be appointed in a personal capacity.

    How to nominate

Nominations should be accompanied by a statement outlining the reasons for nominating to become a member of the SSRG and your superannuation industry experience.

Nominations should be made in writing and emailed to by Friday, 25 September 2015.

The ATO will inform successful nominations in writing and announce the new membership by 12 October.
