  • STP and your employer clients

Over 580,000 small employers have made the transition to Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting, with more coming on board every day.

In February, we will provide you with a list of your employer clients' STP status. The list will include clients who:

    • have already transitioned
    • are yet to transition, or have attempted to transition
    • have applied for, or have been granted a deferral or exemption
    • have opted for a concessional reporting option
    • are an employer with closely held payees only
    • have been affected by bushfires.

If you have clients who have yet to engage with STP reporting, help them make the transition now.

We will also send reminders to small employers who are not yet reporting through STP. Some of these may be your clients.

If you or your clients have been impacted by recent bushfires and are in an identified impacted postcode, you will receive this information in the coming months. We understand your priority is to family and community at this time.

    Concessions for micro employers

If you have micro employer clients, those with 1–4 employees, they may be eligible to report their STP information quarterly through you. You need to apply on their behalf now and start reporting by 28 February 2020.
