  • System requirements

There are minimum security and computer requirements for using Online services for agents. To log in, you'll need a secure online credential. This can be either:

    • myGovID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM), or
    • an AUSkey

This ensures the security of online transactions when using the system.

Each user must have their own myGovID or AUSkey to log in. If you have multiple user accounts in your practice, you should use Access Manager to manage staff accesses to functions and records.

The permissions assigned to you through Access Manager will determine which functions you can perform when viewing client records.

From 1 April 2020, myGovID and RAM will replace AUSkey.

Your computer settings need to meet our minimum system requirements. To check your settings use our Online services system requirements check.

    Has your ABN changed?

Changes to your tax or BAS agent registration can lead to a change in your Australian business number (ABN).

If this happens and you're using myGovID and RAM, you'll need to make sure:

    • your ABN details are updated in the in the Australian Business Register (ABR)
    • the correct ABN is linked to your myGovID in RAM.

If your ABN changes and you're using an AUSkey, you'll need to register a new AUSkey to match the new registration. For example:

    • if your ABN changes and is no longer associated with a current agent registration, your AUSkey will not allow you to access the system
    • if your ABN is cancelled, any associated AUSkeys will also be cancelled.
