Tax Agent Portal
This portal provides online access to a range of information and services. You can communicate securely with us online and view, amend and analyse client account and registration information.
The portal ensures the security of your online transactions using AUSkeys. Each user must have their own AUSkey to log in. Where there are multiple user accounts in your practice, the Access Manager system is used.
There are computer requirements for these systems.
Portal help, technical issues and system maintenance
We provide information about issues currently affecting delivery of our online services and scheduled system maintenance. Tax Agent Portal Help provides you with additional information and instructions for portal functions.
The portal gives you access to information about taxpayer records with your registered agent number on their records in our systems. Your clients are listed in the client directory of the portal, which you can update.
Client accounts and tax types
The client accounts function displays all accounts you are authorised to view for a client. It provides a summarised view of the balance of the accounts and an estimate of any general interest charge (GIC) that may apply.
You can lodge your clients' activity statements online with us using the portal. You can also lodge revisions and view and print current and past activity statements.
Payment options and payment slips
Use the portal to request refunds, amend financial institution account details, view payment options, obtain an electronic funds transfer (EFT) code for your client to pay an account and print a personalised payment slip.
Mail and messaging
Portal mail allows you to send messages and requests to us, including attachments. You can view a history of submitted and received messages.
The portal provides a range of forms which can be submitted online. This includes forms to lodge an objection or apply for a private ruling. Forms submitted via the portal are acknowledged with a receipt number.
The portal can generate online reports showing your clients' activities with us. Some reports are generated on demand while others are pre-generated.
Client correspondence list
If your client's correspondence has been sent to their myGov Inbox you can view that correspondence in the portal.
Portal file transfer
The portal file transfer function allows you to lodge and test selected files that have been prepared and generated from your software.
