    TaxPack is a print publication designed to help you to complete your individual income tax return. TaxPack is divided into two parts:

    • TaxPack with the tax return for individuals
    • TaxPack supplement with the tax return for individuals (supplementary section).

    If you are an Australian resident and a retiree, you may be eligible to use Retirees TaxPack.

    e-tax 2008 CD pilot

    For Tax Time 2008, deliveries of TaxPack and TaxPack supplement packages to Victoria, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory will be replaced with an e-tax 2008 CD mail pack. National distribution of the business and professional items and family tax benefit packages will also be replaced with an e-tax CD mail pack. The CD will contain the e-tax 2008 software which can be easily installed onto a personal computer to prepare and lodge tax returns online for free.

    If you were part of the pilot in 2007 and did not lodge your tax return using e-tax you will receive a flyer providing information on e-tax and how to obtain TaxPack and TaxPack supplement. If you were part of the pilot and used e-tax to submit your 2007-08 tax return you will be sent an e-tax postcard thanking you for lodging your tax return online using e-tax.
