Managed funds

How to complete the managed funds section in your return using myTax.

We have pre-filled your tax return with information provided to us. Check for any managed funds distributions you received that are not pre-filled and ensure you add them.

Answering this question

You will need your statement from the managed fund, for example, a property trust, share trust, equity trust, growth trust, imputation trust or balanced trust.

Your statement may indicate where you need to show the amounts on your tax return. If you think that any detail is wrong or is missing from the statement, contact the fund manager.

Completing your tax return

  1. Look at your information and check the details pre-filled in your tax return.
  2. Add any missing distribution by clicking on the 'Add distribution' button and
    entering all the information.
  3. Include your share of any distribution from jointly-owned managed fund investments.
  4. Click on 'Save'.
