Where an officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a person has committed an offence against section 15 , the officer may arrest the person without warrant.
Where an officer has reasonable grounds to believe that a person has assaulted any officer in the execution of that officer ' s duties, the first-mentioned officer may arrest the person without warrant. 33A(3)
A person must not resist, obstruct or prevent the arrest of any person under this section.
Penalty: 10 penalty units.
The amount of a penalty unit is stated in section 4AA of the Crimes Act 1914 .
Where a person is arrested under this section, section 212 of the Customs Act 1901 applies as though the person had been arrested under section 210 of that Act.
In this section:
"offence against section 15"
and " officer " have the same respective meanings as in section 33 .
