SECTION 53   Up-front payments  

53(1)    
An up-front VET payment , in relation to a *VET unit of study for which a student is liable to pay a *VET tuition fee, is a payment of all or part of the student ' s VET tuition fee for the unit, other than a payment of *VET FEE-HELP assistance under this Part.

53(2)    
The payment must be made on or before the *census date for the unit.
