SECTION 243   Use of equipment to examine or process things  

243(1)    
The * executing officer or * person assisting may bring to the * premises any equipment reasonably necessary to examine or process a thing found at the premises in order to determine whether it may be seized under the * search warrant in question.

243(2)    
The * executing officer or a * person assisting may operate equipment already at the * premises to carry out such an examination or processing if he or she believes on reasonable grounds that:

(a) the equipment is suitable for this purpose; and

(b) the examination or processing can be carried out without damaging the equipment or thing.
