Your members will continue to apply for early release of superannuation on compassionate grounds via the DHS portal until 30 June.

From 1 July individuals must apply through the ATO via our website. We’ll let you know when the ATO application portal is live so you can update your call centre scripts and direct members to the new application portal.

After 30 June, DHS will continue to process applications they receive up to and including to 30 June. In this period after 30 June your members will continue to provide you with copies of DHS approvals. We'll tell you when DHS have processed all their pre-30 June applications and you shouldn't receive any DHS approvals thereafter.

From 1 July, when we approve an application we'll send you an electronic copy of the approval notice via the Bulk Data Exchange (BDE) service. We've published answers to questions about this and other topics on our Let's Talk Superannuation Community. We'll provide you with additional information closer to 1 July.
