SECTION 52  

52   WEIGHTS AND SCALES

Every licensed manufacturer shall at his or her own expense provide sufficient lights, correct weights and scales, and all labour necessary for weighing material received into and all excisable goods manufactured in his or her factory, and for taking stock of all material and excisable goods contained in his or her factory.

Penalty: 10 penalty units

S 52 amended by No 25 of 2001, s 3 and Sch 2 item 31, by substituting the penalty and inserting the note at the end, effective 4 May 2001. The penalty formerly read:

Penalty: $1,000.

S 52 amended by No 115 of 2000, s 3 and Sch 1 item 34, by substituting ``licensed manufacturer'' for ``manufacturer'', effective 7 September 2000.
