Division 1 - The transfer process
Company to set up registers and minute books 6(1) Setting up registers and minute books A company registered under clause 3 must, within 14 days after the transfer date: (a) set up the registers required by sections 168 (registers of members, debenture holders and options holders) and 271 (charges); and (b) include in those registers all the information that is required to be in those registers and that is available to the company on registration; and (c) set up the minute books required by section 251A. 6(2) Incorporation of prior minute books The minute books set up under paragraph (1)(c) must incorporate any minute books or similar records kept by the company prior to its registration under clause 3. 6(3) Access to registers and minute books During the 14 days, the company need not comply with a person's request to inspect or obtain a copy of: (a) information in a register; or (b) a minute of a general meeting. However, the period within which the company must comply with the request begins at the end of the 14 days.
