Hide history noteAn issuing authority who makes: (a) a continued preventative detention order; or (b) a prohibited contact order in relation to a person ' s detention under a continued preventative detention order;
has, in the performance of his or her duties under this Subdivision, the same protection and immunity as a Justice of the High Court.

A function of: (a) making or revoking a continued preventative detention order; or (b) extending, or further extending, the period for which a continued preventative detention order is to be in force; or (c) making or revoking a prohibited contact order in relation to a person ' s detention under a continued preventative detention order;
that is conferred on a judge is conferred on the judge in a personal capacity and not as a court or a member of a court.
