Pt 5A inserted by No 135 of 2020, s 3 and Sch 12 item 3, applicable in relation to requests made by ASIC under section 55A of that Act on or after 1 January 2021, whether or not the information or documents requested were given to APRA before 1 January 2021.

SECTION 55A   ASIC MAY REQUEST INFORMATION OR DOCUMENTS

55A(1)    
ASIC may request APRA to give it any of the following:

(a)    specified information or documents covered by section 55C ;

(b)    information or documents covered by section 55C of a specified kind.

55A(2)    
The request must be in writing.

55A(3)    
ASIC may, in writing, amend or withdraw the request.
