SECTION 1551  

1551   DEFINITIONS  


In this Part:

commencement day
means the day on which Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Insolvency Law Reform Act 2016 commences.

Insolvency Practice Schedule (Corporations)
means Schedule 2 to this Act, and includes rules made under section 105-1 of that Schedule.

make
, in relation to an order that is a direction, includes give.

new external administration
of a company means an external administration of a company that starts on or after the commencement day.

old Act
means the Corporations Act 2001 , as in force immediately before the commencement day and includes the old regulations.

old Act registrant
has the meaning given by subsection 1553(4) .

old Act registration day
, in relation to a person, has the meaning given by subsection 1555(2) .

old regulations
means the Corporations Regulations 2001 , as in force immediately before the commencement day.

ongoing external administration
of a company means an external administration of a company that started before the commencement day and ends after that day.

order
includes a direction.

registered
: a person is registered as a liquidator, or as a liquidator of a specified body corporate, at a particular time in the circumstances set out in subsection 1552(2) .

Register of Liquidators
means the Register of Liquidators established and maintained under section 15-1 of the Insolvency Practice Schedule (Corporations).
