Division 169 - Administrative requirements on higher education providers  

SECTION 169-27   Meaning of EFTSL  

169-27(1)    


An EFTSL is an equivalent full-time student load. It is a measure of the study load:

(a)    in respect of a *course of study - for a year, of a student undertaking that course of study on a full-time basis; or

(b)    in respect of an *accelerator program course - for the period of the accelerator program course, of a student undertaking that course on a full-time basis.

For the purposes of a *course of study, a particular amount of EFTSL is an amount of study, undertaken with a higher education provider as part of the course, represented by units of study with *EFTSL values the sum of which equals that amount.
