SECTION 7 Petroleum activities
(1)
A person commits an offence if the person:
(a)
undertakes activities to produce petroleum in or from the JPDA; and
(b)
does so otherwise than:
(i)
in accordance with a production sharing contract; or
(ii)
with the approval of the Designated Authority.
(2)
In subsection (1):
includes exploration, development, initial processing, production, transportation, marketing, as well as planning and preparation for such activities.
