Superannuation CRT Alert 044/2013
Dear Members / Trustees / Fund administrators
Electronic Portability Form - Deployment Information
We previously advised you in CRT Alert 038/2013 of our plans to deploy changes to the Electronic Portability Form (EPF) on 21 September 2013.
This message is to advise you that a number of issues were encountered, and redeployment will occur over the weekend 5 October 2013.
There is a projected backlog of approximately 14 days in EPF requests which will need to be cleared as funds retrieve the new EPFs via the ATO Business Portal. APRA does not regard delays arising from this backlog as significant; therefore funds are not required to report breaches arising from this backlog to APRA.
For the small number of funds that received incorrect EPF files through the Business Portal dated between 27 September and 1 October, please delete these files, as they will be reissued.
Funds are no longer required to collect EPFs using the Electronic Commerce Interface (ECI) facility, as the ECI will receive no further EPF files.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this has caused and appreciate your patience.
For further information or if you have any other questions, please refer to the EPF User Guide using the following link:
