• Registered agent number and trust account details

Your registered agent number (RAN) is linked to the electronic lodgment service (ELS) EFT reconciliation report, which generates when amounts are credited to your trust account.

Before your RAN changes, to continue using your existing trust account, you need to revoke your current EFT reconciliation report.

Once you have a new RAN, you need to:

    • apply for a new ELS enrolment
    • activate a new EFT reconciliation report for your trust account.

Revoke your current EFT reconciliation report

The way you prepare a report request may be different for some ELS software products. The following instructions are an indication of what you need to do for most products - if different, refer to your user guide or ELS software help files.

To revoke your current EFT reconciliation report, you will need to complete the following steps.

    1. Log into ELS using your old registered agent number to revoke your current report.
    2. Select the Report request form.
    3. At 'Type of request':
      • Request for a solicited report? Y/N, select N

    5. Apply for a new ELS enrolment to link to your new RAN and wait until you have received notification of the new registration.

Allow a minimum of 48 hours before performing the next steps.
